Woke up: Balandra, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Went to sleep: Balandra, Baja California Sur, Mexico
The best part of participating in the Baja Ha Ha is our default introduction to 171 cruising families who are now here in Mexico. Each time we pull into a marina or bay, there is almost always a boat we know. Often, someone we’ve had dinner and a cerveza with.
One cruising family we like to spend time with is Ed, Melinda and their two boys Jake and J.D. Guess who showed up in Balandra today?
In the afternoon we met at the beach and Ed taught us how to play Boca Ball. We played until almost sunset. Later Peter and I changed into our go-to-people’s-boat-for-dinner clothes and motored over to Lorien for a most amazing shrimp with chipotle sauce, rice and beans. I wish I could cook as well as Ed can.
When Peter started to rub his eyes the way he does just before he nods off, we came home.
