Woke up: La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Went to sleep: La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Today I made the decision to go home for Christmas. I want to see my mom, who is 87, as often as I can, while I can. Also, it made more sense to fly out of Cabo rather than sail all the way south to Puerto Vallarta and fly home from there.
Friday I will leave Peter alone in Mexico for a month. Not to worry, I’m leaving him with 4000 pesos ($350). I’m taking our only cell phone and the bankcard.
Poor Peter. Alone in Mexico for Christmas and New Years and our anniversary and my birthday! He was grinning from ear to ear when he kissed me good-bye at the bus station.
Ed and Melinda and the boys will be around to take care of him, though. I don’t like leaving him alone – he’s helpless in terms of finding things; his glasses, his shirt, the milk. But, seeing as how it will all be in a pile on the floor it should be fine.
I’m going to focus on helping my mom. She’s gotten a little forgetful.
