Went to sleep: Santiago, Colima, Mexico
Peter and I set out in the morning to run the length of the beach. Turns out, this is a very long beach. Cardio Trainer logged over 6 miles round trip and I am pooped.
While Peter wandered over to Sailor’s Run to visit Jeff and pick up our copy of his book*, I did two loads of laundry in the Wonder Wash. The Wonder Wash does not get the clothes oh so clean, it seems, but they certainly smell better and can be worn again.
Once the laundry was on the line, I took a bath in the cock pit. I used to use the shower on Penelope but I’ve found it much easier to bathe in the cock pit using the fresh water wash down hose Peter installed. I carry shampoo, conditioner, razor, wash cloth, soap and towel to the cock pit and go to work.
Joy is found within the simple comforts of this life. A long run on the beach results in a hot sweaty, stinky, sandy, salty body. A cool clean bath in the cockpit results in fresh and fragrant joy.
Later we joined Jeff and Debbie, along with Pascal, Bruce, Judy, Michael, Antoine and others at the Oasis for lunch. Debbie’s friend, David, was performing at 3:00. David Weber sings twice a week at the Oasis Bar. He is not only one of the best singers around but is also a top Elvis Presley impersonator. It turned into a very enjoyable afternoon of dancing to 70’s and 80’s music.
