A Kept Woman

I have always dreamed of being kept by a man.  I never thought I would be so fortunate, though, as to have my husband go off to work in the morning and me stay behind with the whole languid day stretched out before me.

Peter got a job.  He is now employed by Vessel Assist.  He works on the water, mostly towing distressed vehicles from their distressed location to a more appropriate location for repair.  Of course, he likes it.  So, off he goes to work in the dinghy.

Unfortunately, the phone could ring at any minute and someone from one of the many jobs for which I have applied could invite me in for an interview, put me on their schedule, and hold me accountable to work.  It’s inevitable.  Soon, my cherished sloth and torpor will be history and I’ll be rushing around like the rest of the world trying to get everything done.

Line Dancing

But, for now, I think I’ll play.

Today I attended Line Dancing Class.  I have always wanted to learn to line dance.  With line dancing you can get up and enjoy the music even if you are not formally asked to dance.

The other students were amazed how quickly I learned three dances.  “But, hey, this isn’t rocket science!”  On Tuesdays and Fridays it’s Happy Hour by the pool and we are able to show off our dance skills.

Wow, you’ve both settled into life in San Diego at lightning speed! Delighted Peter is working with Vessel Assist. They are lucky to have him. Susan, your employment is just around the corner. Enjoy the sloth and torpor lifestyle as long as possible…but knowing you, it will soon be a memory!
